1. Different structural relationships
RGB light strips refer to LED light strips where each LED is welded and consists of three chips: red, green, and blue. These chips can emit red, green, and blue monochromatic light alone, or they can be used in combination to emit white light or other colors of light. If a controller is added, multiple colors and multiple dynamic effects can be achieved; LED light strips are a type of lighting product that assembles LEDs on a strip-shaped FPC (flexible circuit board) or PCB hard board.
In general, in terms of structure, LED light strips include RGB light strips and monochrome light strips. Monochromatic light strips do not require dimming drivers, while RGB light strips require dimming drivers to achieve different light effect regulation.
2. Different colors and effects
RGB light strips can produce multiple colors through the combination of red, green, and blue chips. After adding a controller, color changes and flashing effects can also be achieved, such as gradient, breathing, strobe, etc. RGB light strips have higher flexibility and controllability in color changes and dynamic effects.
Monochrome LED strips can only emit light of one color, such as red, green, blue, etc. Even multicolor LED strips (such as colorful LED strips) only mix LED chips of different colors on a strip, and cannot achieve free combination and dynamic change of colors like RGB strips.
3. Different applications
RGB strips are widely used in decoration, lighting, advertising and other fields due to their rich color changes and controllability. For example, atmosphere lights for home decoration, decorative lights for shopping malls, backlights for stages, etc. RGB strips can also be used in smart home systems, and remote control can be achieved through mobile phone APP or voice assistants. LED strips are widely used in many fields due to their advantages such as energy saving, environmental protection, and easy installation. For example, they are used for building outline lights, bridge decorative lights, road lighting, car decoration, etc. Monochrome LED strips are also commonly used in occasions such as signs and safety warnings.
4. Different prices and maintenance
RGB light strips are relatively expensive because they contain red, green, and blue chips and controllers. Their maintenance is relatively complicated and requires regular inspection of the working status of the controller and LED chips. Monochrome LED light strips are relatively cheap because of their simple structure.
